HOOPNIACS Hooping Workshop New Orleans, LA

Hooping is fun fitness that can be done alone but so much more fun in a group, in a park, at a concert, at Mardi Gras parades, in Mardi Gras parades, on the beach...anywhere there's just enough room. This Hoopniac weekend consists of two parts and is open to all ages and skill levels.Registrations are also being taken in cash or check at the studio.

Part I - Friday, Novemeber 14, 6pm @ Crescent Lotus Studio, 3143 Calhoun St.

Build your own hoop and decorate it. Colored and sparkly tapes will be provided but bring anything special you might want to add, glitter, googly eyes, whatever.

FYI - If you're coming in from out of town or can't make Friday night, we'll have hoops on Saturday for you to use and you can decorate yours during the break.

Part II - Saturday, November 15 @ City Park (behind NOMA on the right or at the Peristyle if it rains.)

10am-1pm Learn to use your new hoop. All the basic moves for keeping your hoop up. Hip hooping, chest hooping, hand hooping and turning.

2pm - 5pm Lunch, Rest, Socialize, Practice

2pm-5pm "Get Tricky" Take the basics and combine them to pull off some really fun tricks.
